OUR PROCESS
The Reintegrate Appalachia process is a comprehensive approach to helping individuals maintain their new sobriety, while also integrating themselves back into their communities as productive members of society. Reintegrate Appalachia currently serves Monongalia, Braxton, Wayne, and McDowell Counties in West Virginia.
Through Reintegrate Appalachia, participants will have the opportunity to engage in their community through meaningful employment conducive to their recovery efforts, continue their education, develop professional skills, and receive continued clinical and peer support that is needed to maintain their new sobriety.

After Admissions
After receiving notification that an individual is accepted, participants will be:

Matched with available job opportunities.

Enrolled in classes (immediacy is based on time of year).

Placed into supportive recovery housing, when deemed appropriate.

Placed into a medication-assisted treatment program, when deemed appropriate.
The Reintegrate Appalachia process is a comprehensive approach to helping individuals maintain their new sobriety, while also integrating themselves back into their communities as productive members of society.
During this time, participants will attend orientation where they will meet their peer recovery coach (PRC), review career goals/employment interests, and discuss their education goals. They will also have the opportunity to apply for available job openings.
Individuals will participate in weekly check-in meetings with their peer recovery coach for monitoring and required drug screening.
As mentioned, participants are matched with a peer recovery coach who will serve as a mentor and help connect them to others in recovery, resources and other programs. Utilizing this approach will help participants successfully integrate into their recovery program community, find a sponsor and develop meaningful relationships with others in recovery. As a mentor, a peer recovery coach will also help participants process the changes in their life, talk through any issues and build fundamental life skills such as maintaining a budget, building a schedule, obtaining health insurance and taking care of other basic needs.
